Hawkeye is a 1994 television series, based on the Marvel Comics superhero Hawkeye. It starred Lee Horsley as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, a skilled archer and member of the Avengers. The series ran for one season, consisting of twenty-two episodes, and was produced by Stephen J. Cannell Productions.
The plot of the series revolves around Hawkeye and his partner and love interest, Kate Bishop, as they travel across the country as freelance crime-fighters. Each episode features a different adventure or mystery that the duo has to solve while also dealing with their complicated personal lives.
Although the series had a loyal fan base, it was ultimately cancelled due to low ratings. However, it has since garnered a cult following and is considered by many to be an underrated gem of 90s superhero television.
Hawkeye is set to return to television in a new series on Disney+, starring Jeremy Renner as the character.
